Testosterone levels decline gradually starting around age 30, and for some men that decline becomes significant enough to affect energy, muscle mass, mood, and recovery capacity — the cluster of symptoms sometimes called “low T.”
What it’s studied for
TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is a well-established, FDA-approved treatment for clinically diagnosed hypogonadism (medically low testosterone confirmed by bloodwork and symptoms) — not a general anti-aging or performance product, despite how it’s often marketed.
Research status
This is one of the more heavily studied hormone therapies, with decades of clinical use for diagnosed deficiency. The research is far less settled on using TRT for men with “normal” testosterone levels seeking performance or body composition benefits — that’s a different risk/benefit conversation.
Where this fits
If you suspect low testosterone, the starting point is bloodwork with a licensed provider, not a peptide clinic ad. Diagnosis first, treatment decisions second.
